Launching on December 26th aka Boxing Day. A new never-seen-before formula from Huda Beauty the Huda Beauty Melted Shadows, Huda is coming out with 5 different shades, each product is dual-sided, with one side being matte, but not just matte, she describes the formula as smudge-proof, crease-proof, waterproof and foolproof. On the other side you get a metallic side that is a shimmery shade that compliments the matte shade. Retailing for $25, I imagine when they come to the UK most likely via Cult Beauty they will be around the £20 mark.
The lightest duo is Faux Fur – light bone beige matte and Bamboo Hoops – light gold shimmer. The next lightest duo is Bubble Bath – neutral pink and Pink Champagne – you guessed it a shimmering pink champagne. The one Huda herself demonstrates in her video is Private Jet – warm pinky nude matte and Shimmering Sunset – shimmery champagne gold. A more intense duo is Hot Sauce – pigmented reddish brown matte and Cherry Soda – cherry shimmer with a brown undertone. Last but not least is Silk Bomber – true purple matte and Bubble Gum – iridescent pinkish purple shade, this one is the one that appealed to me the most and her sister Alya demonstrates it in the video.
You can see them in action above and below in Huda’s Reveal Video, it is emphasised that they are created for all makeup lovers, whether professionals, beginners or enthusiasts and furthermore, are incredibly quick and easy to use. Huda creates an eye look in just one minute in her video. My personal opinion is that I am not bowled over, I think the packaging and product is lovely, there are a lot of gold shimmers when surely we all already own a million gold shimmers. I don’t find blending powder eyeshadow that difficult and find waiting for creams to set and dry a bit of a pain in the ass, plus a waterproof formula is great but removing makeup is always something I think about when applying makeup so not sure if this is a product I would appreciate. I am eager to learn and see more about these shadows and hope they release more interesting combinations in the future.
Thank you so much for reading, I am always intrigued by whatever Huda and her team release I think she makes very Instagram-friendly products and I appreciate the thought and purpose behind each release. At the moment, I have no plans to buy these but that might change in the future. Never say never. I would love to hear what you think about the Huda Beauty Melted Shadows, are you interested? Do you have your eye on any particular shades? Silk Bomber and Bubblegum looked the most interesting to me but seeing them on Alya to be honest was disappointing. Leave your thoughts below and come back on Thursday for a Holiday Gift Guide. Take care.
What are your thoughts on the new Huda Beauty Melted Shadows?
Love ❤
