Jackie Jackie Jackie Jackie, the one and only Jackie Aina, one of my favourite YouTubers to watch has released an eyeshadow palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills: ABH x Jackie Aina Palette. I actually went to Selfridges yesterday to see if I could see this palette in person and do some swatches, sadly it is not in the Birmingham store at the moment. I have a great weakness for eyeshadow palettes so as much as I do want this palette, I would like to see it in person first before I take the leap. Also, not to be a petty ass bitch but am I the only one who is noticing that Anastasia Beverly Hills are constantly jacking up their prices, they went from £41 to £43 to now £46, I know I have complained about this before but it bears repeating. I feel like most beauty brands are slyly doing this too, such as Urban Decay and I find it to be a bit underhanded and completely unnecessary, but that is just my opinion. It doesn’t effect my opinion of the palette as it has nothing to do with Jackie herself.

Onto the palette, it retails for £46 as mentioned as is available online and at other online retailers now as far as I am aware. The palette is unique as it was designed for those of us with deeper skin tones in that the shade range is quite rich and deep in tone, there are a lot of beautiful jewel tones in the palette. That being said, there are many gorgeous looks that have been created on people of all skin tones from fair to deep, so the palette is versatile in that sense. From first impressions, I would not consider this to be an everyday palette that will give you neutral soft eye looks like the ABH Soft Glam, this definitely gives you that little something extra to create some eyecatching looks.

The swatches are mesmerising and as you can see below where it is swatches on fair skin the colours look beautiful on a myriad of skin tones, it will show up as more dramatic on those with fairer skin which is not a bad thing. The packaging as well is lovely, the two toned holographic packaging with the snake skin is really cool and very Jackie. I don’t understand all the shade names but the colours speak for themselves. I don’t think I own another palette like this and I am not sure I have many similar colours either, possibly in some of the Juvia’s Place palettes I own, but ABH metallics are so unique that I doubt I could dupe the shimmer shades in my own collection, the finish is just unreal. I am drawn to the mattes in this palette as well, Ginger and Credit are beautiful.

Do I think this palette is beautiful? Absolutely! But, do I need it? Sadly no, which is why I wish I could stare at it in person so I could make the decision whether to buy it or not. I faced a similar dilemma when the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette was released, seeing it in person and swatching the shades that interested me the most made me realise that I wouldn’t get much use out of it so I was able to pass on the palette and still sleep easy. I am still on the fence about this one, if I didn’t own a large amount of eyeshadow palettes I would pick it up in a heartbeat. The fact that I don’t use the palettes much especially makes me hesitant. Let me know in the comments what you think, will you pick this up? What is your favourite ABH palette? I am aware this is limited edition so will have to decide sharpish whether I get this or not. I hope you are having a great week so far. Visit my blog back on Monday for a foundation review. Thank you for reading. Take care.
Will you be getting the ABH x Jackie Aina Palette?
Love ❤
Kiran
