I am so excited to start blogging again, so I hope you all welcome me back with open arms, let;s skip all the excuses shall we and just jump in to the post. Cleansers are the skincare product I seem to run out of the quickest, I feel like I am always in need of a cleanser. Fortunately, I have been sent a lot of cleansers in PR that seem to do the trick but none of them for me were worth a repurchase. I really enjoy a balm for when I am in full makeup as it really breaks every product down, but for every day I don’t need a cleanser that is that hardworking. For the past two months, I have been using the Soap & Glory Ultimelt Deep Purifying Hot Cloth Cleanser (RRP £10, currently £6.67 at Boots) to find out how it has been working for me, keep reading.
Hot cloth cleansers have been around for a while, I have tried several including Liz Earle and No 7. The concept is great, but once I found the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm* (RRP £25, currently £19.95 at allbeauty.com) I didn’t look back. I want a product that can do it all, without a cloth that needs regular washing. Although the Soap & Glory Ultimelt comes with a cloth, I personally don’t use it. On a daily basis I don’t wear mascara, my makeup is usually quite simple but I do still need a cleanser that will take off my foundation, concealer, powder and bronzer, cream cleansers work perfectly for this as they are super gentle and nice on the skin and take off the majority of my makeup. Finding an affordable cream cleanser has been on my bucket list for a while, so I am definitely pleased to have found the Ultimelt.
The Ultimelt contains orange, lavender, clary sage, rose and geranium oils along with cocoa seed and sweet almond butter oils, which taken together sound like actual heaven. Full list of ingredients here: Aqua (Water/Eau), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter Oils, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Esters, Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Synthetic Beeswax, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, Linalool, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Pantolactone, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil. It is recommended to apply a grape sized amount and work it over your face for at least 2 minutes. Truthfully, I will massage it onto my face for around 60 seconds and that seems like more than enough time for me.
I give the Soap & Glory Ultimelt a 5 star rating, it smells delicious and feels creamy and beautiful on the skin, the packaging is really easy and simple to use. You get a lot of product, I have been using it daily for over two months and haven;t even got halfway through the product. It gets off most of my makeup, I still go in with an additional cleanser to ensure that everything is off my skin, I am a firm believer in the two-step cleanser movement and will be talking about my second cleanse in a future post. Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed, I do think the Ultimelt Cleanser is on the repurchase list, best daily cleanser I have tried. Comment your favourite cleanser below. Hope you are having a great week so far, come back on Wednesday for a new post.
What are your favourite cleansers?
